Self Appreciation Challenge : Week Two

8. June 2015

Hi everyone and Happy Monday. I hope you all had a lovely weekend and a great week. Did you give yourself some Self Appreciation last week? I really hope so, and if you did, well done you. If you missed out on last weeks challenge, you can catch it here.

So, we’re now at week 2 of the Self Appreciation Challenge. Now I noticed that not too many of you came forward last week to tell us something that you liked about your body. I hope you at least thought it to yourself, and felt a little better about yourself, and a little more confident as a result.

And so to this weeks challenge, which is…..

Week 2: Something that you like about your personality

A good friend of mine mentioned to me once that she’s ‘like an open book’,  meaning she’s too trusting. She was saying this in a negative way about herself. Yet all I was thinking was, how great it is that she is such a trusting, honest, caring person, and that this was one of my favourite aspects of her personality.  It’s one of the reasons why I’m, after ten years, still friends with her to this very day. Why do we turn even a good trait about ourselves, into a negative trait? If somebody hurt her or let her down because she was ‘too open and honest’, well surely the problem lies with the person who did that to her, not with my friend. So I say,  let’s be who we are, and embrace it.

So tell me, what do you like about your personality? For example, do you have a great sense of humour, are you a very positive person, are you a very friendly person, independent, intelligent, realiable, brave, charming, dependable, observant, trusting, etc.

I guarantee, that if you really think about it, there’s something that you like about yourself. So why not give yourself a little pat on the back, give yourself some appreciation, and then share with us all what you like about yourself. If you’re feeling shy about this, why not tag a friend and tell them what personality trait you like about them, and maybe they’ll do the same in return for you.

I’m really looking forward to hearing from you guys..
